Eirik sits on the edge of the 'Pride of FLS' boarding ramp, a sabacc deck in his hands, shuffling idly as he watches the ships fly in, then watches them fly out again. Sitting in the big landing bay, watching the clouds roll away, sitting on Corellia, yea, wasting time. His absent gaze passes around the other ships within his view, taking in the various registries and markings. "Big Galaxy" he murmers, to himself as much as anyone else.

Having landed once more on her homeworld Kiare leaves the Corellian Lady. Soft steps down the ramp and she closes up the ship, skirt swirling around her thighs. She flicks a lock of blond hair over her shoulder and then turns from the ship to survey the spaceport.

Schniquil is standing around the landing dock near his own ship, checking over information in a datapad which he seems most intent on. He offers a courteous nod to the others in the spaceport who don't seem to busy to return it. Glancing over in Kiara's direction, he inspects her ship and its markings. "Nice ship you have. You're in the freight business?"

Looking over at the recently landed craft, Eirik watches with languid interest as the boarding ramp lowers, idly shuffling the sabacc deck in his hands. He's about to turn away when a shapely ankle comes in to view. As the owner of the ankle moves down the ramp, his interest is piqued more and more as the lady makes her way out into the open. Trying to look like he's not looking, Eirik casts his eyes appreciatively over the blonde woman "you always have been a fool for a pretty face, Eirik" he says to himself, under his breath. Leaning against one of the hydraulic rams that lowered the Prides' ramp, looking at the Alien who's approached the woman, trying to remember his species.

Shrugging to the stranger Kiare only comments, "Sometimes." Those eyes flick back to the 'Lady' and she smiles knowing that most of the time all she carts around are friends and swoops with a nice pod converted for sleeping. From there her gaze catches sight of the man watching her, or is that trying not to be watching her and she smiles his direction.

Schniquil nods his head, slightly. "Please don't let me keep you from your business. I only inquire because I may soon be in the need of local contacts in the shipping business."

Raising an quizzical eyebrow at the blonde woman talking with the ... Kubaz ... that's it .. Kubaz, Eirik smiles a rather lopsided smile and with one last cut of the deck in his hands, places it in his jacket pocket. "Rumbled" he murmurs under his breath "As usuall ... you really need to be more subtle you know Eirik" he stands, taps the Prides locking pad, and begins to saunter over towards the girl who watched him watching her go by, the Prides hydraulics making a gentle hissing noise as the boarding ramp closes behind him.

Again Kiare looks to the stranger Alien, "Not as local as I used to be. But maybe if you you really need me you could check Quinn's (it would be near the seedy part of town but not in it). I'm usually visiting with Da if I'm around." The movement caught out of the corner of her eye is addressed and another smile blooms, it seems the watcher is now approaching.

Schniquil nods once again. "Thank you, I'll keep that in mind. I'm a bit of a stranger to the area myself. If you're interested in employment, may I have a name that I can ask for?" Schniquil turns to the approaching human and gives him a welcoming expression. "Greetings, are you also in the cargo business?"

Her gaze is for the human male but the question asked by the stranger is answered, "Kiare... Quinn."

"Excuse me ...." Eirik says, with a rather pronounced Coruscant (read English ...) accent, as he approaches, "I don't mean to sound rude, but you ... sir ... you're a Kubaz, are you not ... I know it might sound rather strange, but I'm a Doctor .. and I've only ever seen Kubaz in text books .... I just wanted to be sure I'd not made a mistake ..." while his tone seems genuine enough, his eyes cast over the woman more than perhaps someone with a professed interest in another person might "Um .. well " he says, as the Kubaz greets him "As I said .. I'm a Doctor ... travelling ... so to speak" his gaze stays on the Kubaz just enough to be polite though he keeps glancing to the woman from the corner of his eye "Eirik DeVerran, at your service ..."

Schniquil is bemused by Eirik's awkwardness in social situations and confirms Eirik's suspicion. "Indeed, I am a Kubaz. You are not mistaken, doctor." Schniquil turns to address Kiare. "It would seem he's never seen anything quite like you before either," he suggests with a wink.

Kiare laughs brightly and confides, "Few have.. a girl turns out different when she's got a pack of older brothers and only a father to raise her."

Blushing a little at the Kubaz's words Eirik is rather glad that his beard covers at least a little of his reddened cheeks "You see all sorts as a Doctor" he begins, trying to recover a little dignity, but perhaps sounding a little snobbish instead "After all, there aren't really that many people that know what makes a woman tick ... though I suppose I only manage that on a biological leve ..." he breaks off, his eyes betraying some kind of internal dialogue that's probably berating himself for what he was about to launch into talking about.

Kiare arches a brow at the Doctor and then blushes ever so faintly herself while stepping closer, "Why Doctor.. I do believe you are blushing." Her head tips just a little and a hand rises making as if to reach out and touch the burning cheeks.

Inclining his head a little, to move his cheek away from Kiare's touch, but not moving his feet to back away, Eirik raises one eyebrow "It seems I'm not alone in that, at least" he says, "Call me Eirik, please ..." he continues "Doctor sounds so ... formal ... I suppose ..."

Schniquil chuckles to himself in a high-pitched squealing sort of noise. "Human courting rituals are so amusing."

The hand drops away without touching and a little bit of the mischief dancing in those eyes fades away, "I suppose it does." Kiare is the one that does the stepping back perhaps a little confused if truth be told but she'd never voice that.

"It's ... well" Eirik shrugs "People seem to shy away from Doctors ... it's not like I want to slice people open and fiddle around with their insides .. but ... well ... people either think I want to do that ... or they start to ask me about a rash they've had for a while .. or something ... it can be really rather disconcerting .... " he pauses again, perhaps listening to his inner monologue again, maybe it's telling him that he's wittering on far too much, or perhaps something else "Anyway .. I ... well .. " he blinks for a moment then looks between the woman and the Kubaz "I'm not interupting anything ..." he asks, sounding a little abashed, but completely genuine "Am I?"

"Absolutely nothing, doctor...?" Schniquil extends his gloved hand to Eirik. "My name is Schniquil. I'm a restauranteur and I'm looking into expanding on other profitable worlds. There's a possibility I may be opening a cafe here on Corellia, and I'm looking for reliable local freight haulers to transport exotic live foodstuff."

Kiare arches a brow, live.. well she has heard that before so it's not really anything new. Her gaze returns to the Doctor, "So.. Eirik? Where are your Doctoring services required?

Eirik takes Schniquils hand, and shakes it "Pleased to meet you ... I'm no trader myself, but I suppose the FLS might consider a contract, depending on the exact nature of the cargo ..." as Kiare speaks he drops Schni's hand and turns back to here "Oh, here and there" he says, rather vaguely "I was on a cruise liner for a while, but I got a secondment, I suppose you'd call it ... back to travelling around, I suppose ... and now I'm officially doctor for the tour of a Starlight Studio's Singer ... once she's out of the studio, there's a tour in the offing ..."

Schniquil shrugs at Eirik's failure to introduce himself, still not knowing the doctor's name. He moves on. "Starlight Studios? I know a few of their employees well. Which singer would that be?"

Curses to the cold, snowy winds of Caspar...Able to shed a parka layer as she exits the ramp of her shuttle, Ambassador Aderanne attempts to stuff the bulk into the pack that slumps over her left shoulder. Her boots tromp rhythmically on the metal ramp as she reaches the end and it retracts in her wake. Her pack stretches to the limits to containt the fluffy coat, and it becomes even more lumpy to carry. Damn.
Forcing it back onto her shoulder anyhow, Ambrosia scans the bustling port around her with swift eyes. "Now, if only I can steal a ride out of here..." Sighing to herself, she glances to ensure that her commlink remains clipped to her holster.
(Ambrosia seems unaware that she's on Corellia not Caspar.)

Kiare is only faintly insterested in that, "You would know Dain then?" She met Dain months ago just after she got hired by the swoop team she races for and had a grand time, except.. he was way too drunk to do anything fun with.

"Her name's Elhanna" Eirik says, in response to Schni's request "Recently back after a residencey on the 'Caspian Queen' - she's rather good, if you'll accept the critique of a fellow you've just met .."
Looking back at Kiare, his gaze softens a little, almost imperceptibly "I can't say that I've met a fellow called Dain ... " he says "But then, I'm only recently arrived on Corellia myself ... and might I ask what brings you to Corellia? M..Miss Quinn ..." his pause over the title is just enough to be somewhat ... hopeful?

Schniquil considers, "No, I don't know of Elhanna. I'll have to check out her show some time. Where's she performing now?" He then turns to Kiare, "Now Dain I certainly know, and know of. He has quite a reputation," he says with a chuckle. He turns to the new arrival as she sheds some of her warm clothing, and offers a polite nod.

Kiare smiles at Eirik again, "Yes.. Miss.. It's Kiare (Key-R-A), Corellia is home. My family is here.. well when they're on leave their here. Da runs the bar and I make it home every few weeks for a short time." To the Kubaz she says, "Well earned I would guess, he is quite the character."

Ambrosia returns the nod, mouth opening to speak, but an intrusive beep from her commlink halts any words. Shoulders sagging with a frown, she clears her throat softly and lifts the pest to her lips. A droid's voice blurts a lengthy ramble before she can cut in. "C," she sighs, "I'm well aware. I need someone to stay behind in case the..." A glance goes to those present and her voice sinks back some with a few steps away. "In case the hospital calls the 'term. Yes...yes, uh-huh..." Jade eyes performing their infamous roll, she shift the pack to her other shoulder. "No.."

Having not noticed the newcomer as of yet, Eirik pays her no attention, "Home ..." he murmurs almost wistfully ... "Well .. you must make a good tour guide then ..." he says, with a faint smile "Where would you reccomend I go and visit ... " he chuckles a little and half sings "Co-ro-net it's a won-der-ful town" he returns to normal speech "as the song says ..."

Hearing the word 'Hospital' he turns and raises an eyebrow at the recently arrived woman, then glances back to Kiare, almost, but not quite looking her over appraisingly once more.

Kiare's dark eyes flash brightly, and she sidles a little closer again, "Of course. I could show you all around. The beaches and ... well.. everything." Her foot rises to perch on a landing footpad for her ship and possibly expose a bit more leg in the process. "It would just depend on where you wanted to go and how much time you had."

The ambassador's patient tone takes a sharp twist as it turns to a growl. "Touch the Starshine and I shall place you with the sanitation droids for the remainder of the season." A pause as she listens to the static protest. "You're fraggin straight I know they have to wheel outside...and yes, that snow is not compatib..." Interrupted by another burst of prattle, she lowers her face to glare at the ferrocrete. Her voice softens again. "Throw it out, I've made all the copied chits I need. All right. Goodbye." Her thumb swipes over the button to deactivate the link.
She almost missed her sentient receptionist, even if she were a staged decoy. Regaining her composure, she plasters a tired smile to her lips and strides up behind the small group once more, hands clasped neatly behind her back. She waits to be noticed, not wanting to intrude.

"Just at the moment" Eirik says, looking over Kiare's shapely leg, still doing his best to not look like he's looking "I have all the time in the galaxy ... after all, I'm not going anywhere until the recording's completed... so I might as well enjoy myself while I'm waiting ... "

Gesturing broadly with his right arm to take in as much of the city and environs as he can he asks "So, what would you reccomend I take in? After all, there's an awful lot to see, I imagine, and I wouldn't want to miss anything that's particularly good."

Schniquil addresses Kiare, "I think I would be most interested in discussing business with you in the near future. Obviously, you have local roots and you seem to be a take-charge sort of woman. We should have a business meeting some time. Perhaps in your father's pub." He turns to acknowledge the newcomer further, "Greetings. You seem to be a bit out of sorts."

Kiare looks over her shoulder at the woman addresssed by Schniquil and smiles before her gaze returns to Eirik, "Enough time on your hands and I could likely show you everything there is to see on Corellia." A nod is given to Schniquil about his meeting possibilities.

"Hello," Ambrosia nods to all, then fixates her eyes on the Kubaz. "Eh, not too disoriented. I don't suppose you know when the next round of hover taxis glides through, do you? I'm sad to say that my own mode of transportation finally died awhile ago." The sickly smile on her face might suggest she had some part in that...

Eirik nods to Kiare with a smile "Well .... as I said, I've not really looked around that much, having only just got here ... and I don't really know how long I have free, but if you're willing to be my guide, I'd certainly like to see as many of the sights as I can .."
"That is" he continues "As long as you have the time to show me around, after all, I wouldn't want to take up your spare time - especially if you're here to visit your family ..."

Schniquil considers the newcomer's question. "Alas, I'm afraid I know little of the hover taxis. I'm only newly arrived myself, and on my rare visits to this planet before I've always made use of the local trains. I find riding the rail relaxing and refreshing."

Kiare laughs softly waving a hand, "I have plenty of free time, I don't have to be anywhere until the next swoop race and the ship where my boss is at is in this system so even getting to work in an emergency is a short hop."

"Ah, no matter." Ambrosia nods to Schniquil, and glances to the monorail. "I'll take the longer route I suppose. Thank you and enjoy your stay." With that, she begins to head for the rail.

At the mention of swoops Eirik blinks and shakes his head "You ride one of those Deathtraps?" he says, a little taken aback. "Just so you know, I'm also the official Doctor for the FLS swoop team ... believe me .. I've seen some nasty things on a swoop track ... who do you race for, if you don't mind me asking?" Eirik says, assuming that Kiare's 'boss' is her race sponsor.

Lore.. oh yes she knows all about FLS racing, "Callendor," Kiare looks over Eirik again, "If I'd know FLS had a doctor like that I'd have come over to their garage at Nar Shadda when I lost some skin to the wall."

Schniquil stays silent as he knows nothing whatsoever about swoop racing, and waves to the peculiar lady as she wanders off to catch her train, watching her go with curiosity.

Off to harrass her favorite CEC pilot. With a wicked grin hidden beneath a palm, Ambrosia yawns and steps into line to board the monorail. Her pack's bulk creates quite the space behind her and she worries little of pick-pockets. Good luck to anyone in fishing out that parka with stealthy ease.

"Flattery will get you everywhere ... isn't that what they say?" Eirik says with a blush and a faint grin, then shrugs a little "Well ... I'm happy to patch anyone up, though there's at least one Swooper who makes a terrible patient, but then, she's a doctor as well ..."
"Mind you, I'll never understand why you'd want to fly around on one of those things - they're accidents waiting to happen, especially to a pretty girl like you ..."

Kiare shrugs, "All my brothers did it, I guess I just followed where they lead. I always worked out before. Besides because of them I learned to defend myself and how to patch people up. You'd be amazed the things you can learn when you have six older brothers half killing themselves every weekend to impress girls and make money."

Schniquil bows semi-formally. "Well, I must be taking my leave. It's been a pleasure meeting you, miss Quinn. I look forward to our business meeting. I'll get ahold of you through your father's pub. Farewell, to you as well doctor. But I have business I must attend to."

Chuckling a little Eirik says "Excuse me for saying so, but I found that the best way to impress a girl, is to not try to impress her .... Is that how it works with Kubaz, friend?" he says turning to Schni ... "Well ... I'm glad to have met you, sir .." he says as Schni makes his excuses "Perhaps I shall eat in one of your establisments one day ... "

Kiare grins at the Kubaz, "Of course, sir. Father will get any message to me straight away." Then looking back to Eirik she shrugs, "Depends on how impressive you are already I suppose. Different girls look for different things. Just lucky for Da that they settled down with their heads still attached."

Schniquil's eyes twinkle at Eirik's suggestion. "I hope very much that you can, good Doctor. The restaurant that is my flagship is the Jade Moon Cafe on Etti IV. If you're ever in the area, I hope you'll find the accomodations to your liking. And perhaps you won't come alone." He turns to Kiare with a wink. "Good day to you both."

"Good day" Eirik says finally as Schni turns to leave "And lucky for you as well, no doubt" Eirik says as he turns back to Kiare "Though in many ways, I'm glad I didn't have any siblings, in others ... perhaps it would be nice to have had a brother, or a sister ..." his tone is somewhat ... distant as he speaks of siblings that he never had, as if there is something about his family that he doesn't like to talk about.

Kiare edges a little closer still, "That sounds terribly lonely, and..." she watches him carefully, "you sound sad." Her hand lifts to move toward his arm, perhaps to lightly stroke it if he doesn't move away.

This time Eirik doesn't move away "I suppose" he says, a little absently, then shakes his head "I just prefer not to talk about my family ..." he says, "They .... they were killed ..." For now, at least, he says no more, looking into the middle distance, in silent reverie, then, suddenly he breaks the silence. "So, where would you suggest I ... I mean, we ... visit first?"

Kiare nods at the words, "I lost a brother.. I don't really remember him." Her gaze goes the the 'floor' of the spaceport while yours is off somewhere else. Lightly her hand squeezes your arm but she says nothing and when you break the silence she looks up at you, "Why don't we just see where we end up?"

Nodding Eirik pats your hand gently as it squeezes his arm "Why not?" he asks, rhetorically "Lead on to wherever we end up ... after all, you're the one that know's where they're going, after all ... take me somewhere that has happy memories for you ... " He turns his face towards yours and smiles weakly, then, a twinkle enters his eye and he chuckles a little "After all, happy memories make a happy now, most of the time ..."

Kiare decides to sieze an opportunity and attempts to give you a quick kiss on the cheek, achieved or failed she turns if unimpeded and heads for the city.

Eirik stands, dumbfounded by the kiss for a moment, looking at the retreating woman with a somewhat surprised expresion on his face. Realising that she's walking away he breaks out of his reverie and follows after her, moving up to walk by her side, his cheeks still flushed a little. "So ... " he says, the pause rather strained "where are we going to?"

Kiare is blushing maybe just a bit along her cheekbones if one where to look closely, but she won't admit it. "Exploring of course. That's the fun of it, we don't know where we'll end up at.. but I have an idea what direction to head."

Eirik walks along with Kiare, looking at the differing architectural styles that exist along the road to the city "Strange" he says "Most cities would have knocked down all the old buildings ... but not here ... it's rather nice, actually"

Kiare smiles wandering amid the bustle of Corellian citizens and tourists she points out small shops here and there a running commentary on the artisans and such that can be found on the street. She pauses finally and points to shop which offers bottled drinks from a cart on the street, "You want something?"

"I should be buying you a drink" Eirik says with a smile "After all, you're the lady, and you're the one doing me the favour by showing me around ... " Walking over to the cart he says to the vendor "A Grapefruit juice for me, please, and whatever the lady wants as well ..." he reaches into his pocket for his credits to pay.

Kiare laughs as she follows him to the cart and winks at the older man tending it. The older man teases her since she's a frequenter of his little cart and he's known her most of her life. "The velsp please, Nenir" She's always been quite fond of the drink which tastes something like white grape with peach.

Eirik chuckles a little at Kiare's familiarity with the vendor, realizing that she must know him reasonably well, at least, as a customer "How much?" he asks Nenir, in almost flawless Corellian, and when prompted, pays the older gentleman. Opening his bottle he takes a sip, pursing his lips a little at the sharp tasting juice. "Very good" he says, also in Corellian "Fresh as well, if I'm not mistaken"

Kiare grins at Nenir and then to Eirik, "Only the best here.. it is how he manages to stay in business." She lets the olderman give her a grandfatherly hug and she laughs, "Tell your lovely that I hope she is feeling better, Nenir." Then she waves and leads Eirik off down the street.

Eirik bids the vendor farewell, and follows Kiare on down the street, listening as she points out certain places, or elaborates on the history of this stall, or that house, or tells what used to be where a new building now stands

Kiare looks up at you mid-chatter and blushes, "I'm talking too much, aren't I? I do that sometimes. I can't help it, I start thinking and my mouth just starts spilling everything I'm thinking without even filtering it."

"Not at all" Eirik says "It's all rather interesting ... besides, I think you caught me on a bad day - I could out talk a senator on a good day ... or so my mother used to tell me ... " he pauses again, pensive for a moment "I think it's good to know things about places ... and seeing somewhere with someone who knows about that place ... really brings it to life ..."

Kiare grins and looks half ready to kiss your cheek again but she seems to catch herself and looks back down at her drink. She pauses a moment and then she's off chattering about the buildings and everything having to do with the street as she walks you southward toward the plaza.

Eirik smiles a wry grin as you walk on down the street again, standing still for a moment, using the action of taking a swig from his drink to delay his moving for a moment as he watches the swing of your hips and admires the curve of your behind as you walk away. He jogs a little to catch up with you and listens intently to your travelogue, smiling all the while,

Unaware of what you're doing Kiare continues along hips swaying with each step, skirt swirling around her. Entering the plaza she points out the park and benches.

"It's lovely" Eirik says, looking out over the park "More greenery than I was expecting in such a big city ... but then ... I suppose I spent a lot of time in a bigger city than most ... " he smiles at Kiare and then looks around the park once more "So ... " he says "Any happy memories?"

Kiare smiles up at you moving toward a bench, "My brothers and I used to come here all the time to play. Connor brought us.. supposed to be keeping an eye on all of us but mostly he had eyes only for whichever girl he was trying to impress that week. We had so much fun though.. There was laughing and pranking, fighting and getting into trouble. I always knew though that nothing would happen as long as they were around."

"It must have been nice to have them around with you" Eirik says "I never really had many friends ... part of what my parents did for a living I suppose ..." he breaks off at that ... and looks back at the children playing in the park now "Someone to Watch Over Me ..." he murmurs softly

Kiare reaches out to touch your arm again, "Sit with me?" She turns and settles onto a bench and crosses one leg over the other at the knee.

Eirik sits on the bench next to you, still watching the children at play "So ... what's changed here since you used to play with your brothers then?" he asks, curiously, and with a little smile in his voice "After all, I'm sure it's as the saying goes, Everything changes, but everything stays the same ..."

"Everything has grown.. but it seems so much smaller now. I suppose that is because I've grown. I'm not that little butterfly of a girl my brothers used to alternately tease and then defend." Kiare pauses taking a drink of her juice, "Life has changed.. the Republic has changed, the Imperials have changed and yet it's all the same."

Chuckling a little Eirik says "The Republic's become the Republic, I suppose ... or perhaps you're too young to remember that ... though there are still places where the Republic is called the Rebellion .... I suppose" there is a hint, perhaps, of bitterness in his voice, but a bitterness that lingers in spite of itself, rather than something that gnaws at the soul.

Kiare smiles, "I'm just 22.. I was just about 2 when my eldest brother was killed in the Rebellion. I don't even really remember him. Just.. an impression of someone who looked like Da but wasn't Da tossing me in the air and calling me his flower."

Eirik nods, still watching the children play, one young father, or much older brother, is doing much as Kiare describes, toding a child into the air and catching them. "Your brother was much older than you then?" he asks absently. "My parents died because of the Rebellion as well, at least, that's what the papers said ..."

A faint nod, "Brendan was 19 and he went off to fight.. Connor was 14, Dylan 11, Cathan and Liam were 8, Shawn was 7, Patrick 5 and I would have just turned 2." Kiare's gaze is on the bottle in her hands, "It was barely 6 months later and they sent back his things. No one talks much about it but I remember that everyone was sad for a long time."

"That's how it is ..." Eirik says "When someone close to you dies ... I suppose ... it's something that stays with you ... not the loss, but the memory ..."

Kiare nods, "Do you.. miss your parents?"

Eirik is silent for some time, not answering, just watching the families at play in the park. "Strangely .... no ..." he says softly "But then ... yes .... I ... I didn't know them very well, I suppose" he continues "They were always working .... they were Doctors .... researchers .... "

Kiare reaches over slowly to attempt to lay her hand on your arm, "I never knew my mother. At least you had a little bit of their time. I am sure whatever they were doing was very very important."

Eirik doesn't stop you from placing your hand on his arm "Whatever it was, it was their death .... " he says

Kiare squeezes gently, hoping to be a small comfort, "They loved you," her voice is soft but sure, "They must have. They wouldn't have wanted to leave you alone." Turning a little bit she squeezes your arm a bit and leans in carefully to attempt to feather a soft kiss to your cheek.

Eirik just stares into the middle distance, not saying anything, or reacting at all for some time once more. "It was the Rebellion ..." he says softly "Or the New Republic ... either ... both .... They destroyed the hospital my parents worked in ... said it was a Military base developing Biological weapons .... but ... I saw the patients .... I saw them .... people being made well .... I trained there ...."

Kiare nods, "Sometimes the innocent suffer. My brother died helping children escape from a collapsing building. He wasn't even armed... He'd been shot down and he was hurt. His friends all sent messages about him. Da kept them all."

"They never stood a chance .. the Rebels ... they destroyed the whole complex .... only a few of us survived ... those that were away at the time ... " Eirik pauses again .... and then turns to look into Kiare's eyes "I'm sorry ..." he says "I shouldn't be telling you all this ... a stranger ....."

Kiare shakes her head, "We've all had losses, we all have our reasons for hating whichever side we hate. Too many losses no matter what side you're on both sides just trying to stay alive it seems sometimes." Her hand moves slowly on your arm almost as much to comfort herself as to offer comfort to you.

"Hate?" Eirik says, shaking his head "No ... I don't hate anyone ... that's the wrong word .... I ... I just wish it never had to happen ... but ... no-one can change the past ... that's why I'm a doctor ... so I can save lives ...."

Kiare nods, "I.. I work for the government. Trying to make sure things like that don't happen.. that no more innocent lives are lost on either side."

Eirik turns away from Kiare, looking back at the families at play. "Good ...." he says, his voice flat, monotone "People should have families to play with .... friends to spend time with ... happy memories ..."

Kiare's hand drops away and she rises not sure what to say anymore. Feelings stupid for having brought any of it up. Now she's hurt him and she only wanted to offer him comfort and friendship of a sort.

Shaking his head Eirik speaks again "Sorry ..." he says, a little sadly "You offered to show me your home, show me the sights .. enjoy the time .. and ... look what I've done? ..... " he stands, and turns away from you "Perhaps I should go back to my ship ... I've already ruined your day ..."

Kiare turns to him and reaches to touch his shoulder, "Don't go.. Walk to the beach with me?"

"After what I've done?" he says, soflty, but loud enough for Kiare to hear "I suppose I can't make your day any worse .. can I?"

Kiare moves around in front of him and whispers, "Eirik.. close your eyes a moment? Please?"

Eirik blinks, then looks into Kiare's eyes, curiously .... for a moment he hesistates, and then closes his eyes, not quite sure of what is going to happen.

Kiare rises up on her toes, moving in to press a soft kiss to his mouth. If he lets it lingers, not pulling away.

Eirik doesn't return the kiss, but neither does he stop it ... if the kiss continues to last, his lips finally soften, and his hands move, uncertainly to Kiare's waist.

When his hands touch her waist her own hands lift to his shoulders, the kiss doesn't deepen but it continues to linger as Kiare's lips brush and pluck at his in slow tenderness.

Eirik's eyes remain closed, his lips brushing, then teasing gently at Kiare's, for a moment sucking her bottom lip between his lips ...his hands still resting gently on her hips ...

Kiare leans close, her arms lifting to rest her hands on his shoulders, fingers lightly brushing at his neck. Her body brushing against his she deepens her kiss just a little, teasing her tongue at his lower lip as she catches it between her own.

Eirik gently retrieves his lips from between hers pressing his mouth full against Kiare's now, his tongue pressing forwars a little, between parted lips. his left hand remains on her hip, perhaps just tracing up a little, while the other runs up her back, pulling her into his embrace.

Kiare's arms slip around his shoulders, her tongue meeting his even as a soft mmmm of enjoyment escapes her.

Eirik's tongue probes forwards again, pressing into Kiare's mouth, twining with her own. His right hand runs up into her hair, fingers splaying to run through it ... In the distance ... no ... quite close, there is the sound of a child laughing, families talking and playing ... suddenly Eirik is drawn back to where he is, and what he's doing, rather than being lost in the moment. Blushing furiously he pulls away ... "Sorry ..." he says "I..I'm sorry .. We...I... I shouldn't have done that ...."

Kiare caresses your cheek and whispers, "We should have.. I am glad we did. You have the sweetest mouth." Blushing a little she steps back, "Even still.. I should have waited until we got to the beach."

Eirik shakes his head a little "But we've only just met ... and ... well .. you were telling me such things .. and .. I .. I took advantage ..." It is apparant that while Eirik might flirt a lot and talk the talk, he may have issues with walking the walk ... "Perhaps ... " he begins again "I should return to my ship ......." he doesn't make to leave, however.

Kiare's hands slide down seeking to catch yours, "You did not take advantage. I kissed you, I wanted to kiss you. I don't want you to go back to your ship, I want you to walk down to the beach with me."

Eirik cups Kiare's hand gently in his "I..if you're sure" he says, squeezing her hand gently "Show me the beach then ..." his blush has started to abate, and he smiles a little now.

Kiare squeezes your hand and smiles up at you, "That blush is very attractive. It makes me think about kissing you again." But he asked to see the beach and so she gazes at him only a moment longer before leading him toward the beach, golden sand and blue waters.

Eirik keeps hold of Kiare's hand, albeit gently, throughout the walk to the beach, walking in silence, really rather unsure of what to say, fearful that he might say something wrong, or that could be misconstrued after what has just happened in the park.

Kiare walks close by his side down to the water, "You're... very quiet?" She looks up at you, holding your hand and stroking a thumb across the back, "Tell me what you're thinking?"

Eirik blinks out of his silent reverie as Kiare speaks "Oh .. " he says "I'm sorry .. I didn't realize .. I ... well .. I don't suppose I was thinking about anything really .. the .. the countryside is very pretty ..." he continues "I grew up in a very dense city ... even in the parks there was nothing like this ... and the beach ... is beautiful ...."

Kiare squeezes your hand, lifting it to rub her cheek against it, "I'm going to walk in the waves.. Do you want to come?" Releasing your hand she crouches and opening the almost invisible fastenings and rising she steps out of the boots.

Eirik blinks "I .. well .. I've never walked in the waves before" he says "I've swum .. in pools .. but never seen the sea ... " he is a little dumbstruck "It's so big ....." is all he can say. Crouching, he too removes his boots, and then his socks, and rolls up his trouser legs to above the knee. Standing there with his boots in one hand he says "I must look a sight ..."

Kiare smiles softly and leaving her boots in the sand she whispers, "A handsome sight, with beautiful eyes." Watching you she steps slowly backward a pace at a time until her feet are being washed over by the legs and still further until the water swirls around her calves.

Eirik drops his boots on the beach beside Kiare's and tentatively makes his way into the gentle wash of the ocean. Chuckling a little he says "It tickles, rather, doesn't it?" and paddles out a little further, the water almost catching his rolled up trousers.

Kiare moves in toward you and reaches out to take your hand, "A little, but it's sort of like a soft caress."

Eirik nods a little "I suppose it is" he says, allowing Kiare to take his hand, he squezes it a little ... then turns to look at her ... "Please ..." he says "don't take this the wrong way ... but ... do you kiss every man you've just met like that ...."

Kiare blushes and shakes her head, "No.. in fact I don't often kiss men at all. Not any for a while now." Her gaze shifts from your face and then down at the water, "Things are a little um... different in my life."

Eirik blushes again, seemingly a theme for him and says "How do you mean?" he asks "Your work perhaps?" he says "What is it that you do ... me, well, you know I'm a Doctor ... but ... I can't say I know anything about you, Kiare, save that you grew up here ..."

Kiare nods, "I work for.. the government." She watches the water move, "The New Republic government. I.... I try to keep innocents safe no matter what planet they're on."

Eirik thinks for a moment "Police?" he asks ... "No ...." he continues "Security, perhaps ... some kind of investigator? ....but then ... the holos all show them as square jawed men, or sever looking women ..." he chuckles a little "As long as you do not harm people, and you yourself are happy in your work ..."

Kiare shakes her head, "I try not to hurt anyone.. Of course I've been hurt.. shot at. But I try not to get into things like that. Mostly.. I just gather information, sort information, make sure it gets to the people who need it."

Eirik raises an eyebrow "Shot at ... gathering information ... " he chuckles a little "That sounds like a totally different kind of holo to the newscasts. It could almost be out of a Janus Bonadan holo ... with you as the beautiful, but deadly lady spy, who swoop-races in her spare time .... " he pauses for a moment, looking into Kiare's eyes "You're serious ... aren't you?"

Kiare drops her gaze and blushes before nodding. "Government work is... not always safe."

Eirik is a little stunned, and is silent for a moment "So ...." he says softly "If this IS just like the holos - you should be entrusting me with a secret formula, because the agents of the evil Empire are chasing you, and they mustn't find that you have it ... or something ..." he says ... "Though I very much doubt it's like the holos ... except for the stunningly beautiful ladies, of course"

"It isn't... It's not glamourous, and it's not easy. It's not even just protecting the people of Corellia or the New Republic. It's protecting everyone. People on Caspar, people on Selene. It's hard and most of the time it's lonely shuffling all that information." Kiare sighs leaving her gaze on the water.

Eirik smiles sadly "Try being a doctor ...." he says, his tone maudlin "You have to learn early that you can't save everyone, even with all the wonders of science that we have on our side ... but .. it still doesn't make it any easier telling a father that his daughter cannot be saved, or a mother that her son has died ...."

Kiare wraps her arms around herself, "At least you can get close to people. Tell them what you are.. what you do." She looks out toward the endless water. "I... How do you really say 'Oh, by the way, some would call me spy.' Even the people you're trying to save mistrust you, no one wants to get close to you."

Eirik moves up behind Kiare and puts his arms around, her, his chin resting on her shoulder as he looks out to sea with her. "Does it really matter that they don't even know you're trying to save them?" he asks "Or that they don't even know what they're being saved from? ... I've had people come into an emergency ward, and I've saved their lives ... and afterwards, been cursed at, screamed at - beacuse they have some belief that I've altered their time to die .. and that they won't go to some better place any more .. because of my intervention ... I saved them and they weren't just ungrateful .. they were somehow more than that .. yet .. I would save them again if it came to it ..."

Kiare leans against you whispering, "It's not that they don't know, or that they don't care. It's only that.. if they did know they would hate me, they would work against me even to their own loss."

Eirik chuckles, perhaps a little bitterly, with his arms still held around Kiare "The Greater Good" he says "Does it really exist... or is it something that we just strive for in the hopes that it might come to pass one day ..."

Kiare rubs her temple against your chin, "It isn't so much about the greater good as keeping people from becoming collateral damage that is expendable."

Eirik strokes one hand through your hair, the water still washing around his, and Kiare's ankles "I suppose you're job deals with a lot more people at once than mine ..." he says softly, then pauses ..."so ... why tell me what your job really is?" he asks "After all you have said about people who find out about your job ..."

Kiare turns and looks up at you, "I.. I hoped you were different."

Eirik looks down at you and smiles "Well ... I hope that I am as well .." he says warmly "After all, you're a lovely lady, Kiare, I wouldn't want you to have to blow me up" he winks

Kiare smiles and lays her head against your shoulder as her arms slip around your waist, "I just.. I wanted to be honest with you. Afterall.. If I want to kiss you again you should at least know who it is you're kissing."

Eirik blushes a little as you suggest kissing him again "I .. well .. I don't know what to say .... " he says softly "After all... you must spend a lot of time flying all over ... and ... well .. I shall be doing the same soon ... I believe ... would ... would we see each other often?"

Kiare shrugs, "I don't know. If I knew where you might be maybe I could find you more often."

Eirik chuckles a little the waves still swirling around the couples legs "I wish I knew .. all I know is that I'm here on Corellia for a while .. and then ... who knows ..."

Kiare hugs again and nods, "So... all we have is now?" She sighs, nuzzling your shoulder softly.

Eirik nods a little "For now, I suppose, yes" he says "All we have is now .. but then, in this universe, as it is .. isn't that all that we ever have, really?"

Kiare laughs almost bitterly, "I keep hoping that someday I'll be able to string a half dozen 'nows' together and start a real relationship."

Eirik holds you close as you laugh "Don't we all" he says a little more thoughtful than bitter "Isn't that what everyone looks for, even if they won't admit it ... someone with whom they have a 'place' in the universe?"

Kiare laughs softly, "I suppose. It's just with all my family that I'm alone."

Eirik pulls away a little, his hands in yours and looks into your eyes "How do you mean?" he asks "Alone when you're with your family?"

Kiare looks out to the water, "They all have their own lives and someone who fits into it. Even da has started dating someone. I go home and I hear all their stories, and all I can tell them is that I'm fine. Pretending that I'm happy alone and that I want to be that way. But sometimes I have to call up Patrick or Shawn and see if they can get leave because I need a 'date' to one thing or another."

Eirik moves around behind Kiare again, putting his arms around her waist "So, you feel like the one left out ..." he says "I can understand that ... it's ... difficult being the only one with no happy tales of family, or the only one who is 'alone' .... I'm sure someday we'll both find enough 'nows' to string together" he says "Perhaps we could start with this one, and hope?"

Kiare leans against you and tips her head to rest against your chin, "I'd like that. You are so.... handsome, but you aren't so sure of it like others are. They strut and preen." A soft laugh, "My brothers all know that they're attractive and though they don't brag about it they have a sureness of their looks that can be.. a bit annoying."

Eirik blushes deeply as Kiare says this, though since he is standing behind her, she could not see. "I ... well .." he says, his embarrasment apparent in his stilted speech "Thankyou ..." he says in the end .. "And you are a beautiful woman, Kiare, make no mistake ..."

Kiare reaches up to caress your cheek, "Confident.. not beautiful. Just pretty and confident." Snuggling in against you, "Comes from having so many brothers to spoil me and tell me no man would ever be good enough."

Eirik chuckles "Perhaps no man ever will, certainly not in their eyes" he says "After all, they only want the best for you, I'm sure" his arms wrap around you tightly and he chuckles a little "They don't come to this beach often, do they?" he asks

Kiare laughs again and shakes her head, "No.. only Liam and Cathan are home, and right now they're probably holding down the bar and picking on the newest member of the family. Plus Cathan is trying to figure out how to propose to his girl and Liam is ribbing him about it more than he should. I probably need to yell at him for that."

Eirik smiles a wry smile and then kisses the top of Kiare's right ear "I'm safe from them for now then" he says "I don't think I could handle dissaproving brothers so soon in this particular 'now' ... it could prove rather disconcerting ..."

Kiare blushes and laughs softly, "No brothers now, I promise. But sometime I might want to show you off to one or two of them." Teasing of course, "I promise to be gentle and keep them from harassing you."

Eirik chuckles "You're far too kind ... " he says with a smile "But if I do meet them, I hope I don't let you down ..." he swirls his feet around in the water a little "Is it me?" he asks "Or is the water getting a little chilly?"

Kiare tips her head and nuzzles your chin, "I don't know.. I'm very warm."

Eirik smiles and nuzzles back "If you don't mind though ..." he says, stepping away and leading you towards the beach again "I'd like to ... " he steps on to the beach and wriggles his toes in the sand "Much better ...." he says rolling down his trousers ... "I think they were cutting off my circulation ..."

Kiare smiles and settles onto the warm sand, "Come down here then?"

Eirik sits down beside you in the sand and puts his arm around you.

Kiare scoots in close to your side and nuzzles your cheek, "Warmer?" She smiles as the sun is starting to set into the water, "If not I'm sure we could find somewhere to sit and talk."

Eirik holds you close as he too watches the sun set over the beach "Let's watch the sun set first ..." he says ... "I love the way it reflects and stretches out over the water .... then perhaps you can show me somewhere a little more ... sheltered ..."

Kiare smiles and lays a hand on your knee, watching the sun set on the water her gaze turns to you. A soft smile as the sun plays over your features, "We'll find someplace."

Eirik nods "I'm afraid" he says as the sun sinks into the sea "That the only place I have here is my ship .. and that might be more than a little presumptuous"

Kiare arches a brow and then laughs softly, "Well.. honestly.. unless you want to meet my family all I have is my ship. But I didn't want you to think that I was suggesting....."

Eirik chuckles warmly "Well ..." he says "As long as you promise not to seduce me, slip something in my drink, leave me with state secrets unjected in a microfilm under my skin and have me chased half way accross the galaxy by bounty hunters .. .I'm sure it'll be ok ..."

Kiare tips her head and whispers in your ear, "I promise.. no injecting you, no state secrets, no bounty hunters chasing you, and no 'something' in your drink. But.. I can't promise not to want to seduce you."

Eirik raises an interested eyebrow, watching the last vesitges of the sun sink over the horizon, leaving the sky blue-black and the stars beginning to wink into view. "Well ... I'm sure I can handle at least that ..." he says softly.

Kiare grins and nuzzles your cheek, "I can only hope." She snuggles in against you and sighs, "I still like looking up at the stars."

Eirik smiles and looks out into the darkness "Have you ever tried to work out which ones you've visited?" he asks, looked up and wondered which light in the sky is a place you've met friends?"

Kiare contemplates the sky a moment and then points to one star in particular, "That's Mon Calamari." Turning she points off to the left a little, "That's Caspar I think."

Eirik chuckles softly "Navigation never was my thing ... I tend to rely on computers for that sort of thing" he says ... "Who taught you to stargaze?"

"Connor.. He's the oldest one of us.. second born. He used to say he wanted to know all the places that Brendan had talked about so that he would always have Brendan with him." Kiare smiles a little, "I guess now I have Brendan with me too."

Eirik nods silently "I wonder ... where Albion is ..." he says softly .. "thats where my parents were ..."

Kiare nibbles her lower lip and studies the sky, She turns more around to face the other direction and then points, "I think it's there. That bluish one."

Looking where Kiare points Eirik nods, and smiles sadly "Yes ..." he says .. "Home .... such as it is ... a colony with strong links to Coruscant ... hence my accent .." he seems to be making 'small talk' to steer a little away from the subject "I wonder how many stars there are?" he chuckles "Far too many to visit in a lifetime ..."

Kiare nods and curls up next to you, "Far too many, and some aren't fit to visit. Others.. others are amazing."

"I've seen some ... more than many people in fact .. I suppose ..." Eirik says, his arm around your shoulder, holding you close "But ... I suppose there must be something of a starfarer in me... I always want to see around the next corner .."

Kiare grins and nods, "I think there's a bit of starfarer in most of us that end up going from place to place. Otherwise we'd find a place and stop."

Eirik chuckles "Typical woman" he says with a grin "Right as usual"

Kiare pokes softly, "I'm not always right. Sometimes I make mistakes."

Eirik smiles "A rare woman indeed ..." he says "One who is not only not always right ... but will admit to it as well .." he leans over and kisses you gently on the cheek ... only one more thing to make you perfect" he chuckles

Kiare laughs softly, "Perfect? Oh no.. I'm not perfect. I would try.. but it's silly since it isn't possible."

Eirik smiles "That's very true ....no-one is perfect - especially those that think they are ..."

Kiare turns and looks at you, "So.. out of curiosity... what would make me perfect?"

Eirik winks rogueishly and says "Well, fo ryou to be a complete sexual deviant, of course" and ruffles your hair a little, chuckling.

Kiare laughs and leans in to whisper, "Will it help if I tie you to the bed and get out the ice?"

Eirik grins and winks again "That might be a good start " he chuckles.

Kiare laughs and wraps her arms around you, "Well.. then I'll just have to work harder at it."

"On the beach?" Eirik says with a chuckle, pulling you over so that you are on top of him "are you sure that's a sensible idea .. there are patrols you know .." he smiles up at you.

Kiare nuzzles your chin and whispers, "I'm sure we won't get arrested for it. CorSec might want to watch though."

"Oh is that so?" Eirik grins and nuzzles back ... "And are you ready to put on a show that they'd want to watch then?"

Kiare kisses softly and whispers, "It's a little cold.. and we'd have to be careful of sand.." She kisses again, "But I think I might just manage it if properly motivated."

Eirik returns your gentle kisses and smiles up at you in the darkness "And just how might I motivate you?" he asks, his hands resting on your hips and running up your sides "Though I wouldn't want sand to get where it shouldn't.... or for you to be too cold ..."

Kiare grins and sits up straddling your waist, "Well.. We'll just have to find somewhere else then, won't we?" She might just be teasing, or maybe not.

Eirik isn't entirely sure just how serious Kiare is being, or, for that matter, how serious he's being ... "Well then .." he says "Just where would you have in mind .. after all, you're the native who knows where they are ..." he chuckles softly, his hands resting on your thighs and stroking them gently.

Kiare leans down and brushes a kiss across your lips, "I would suggest.. your place or mine." She grins brightly as she sits back up, "I think both are at the spaceport right now."

Eirik raises an eyebrow "I think I'd have to suggest your place .. since my place is accesible to Elhanna - the singer I'm supposed to be transporting ... we wouldn't want her walking in .. would we?"

Kiare snuggles in against your chest and nuzzles your chin, "Of course we wouldn't, that would be terribly embarassing for her."

Eirik 's hands run up over your thighs, around your waist and behind you to squeeze your ass gently "So ..." he says ... "do we stay, or do we go?"

Kiare's body shifts against you slowly as you squeeze and she blushes a little, "I think we're going to have to go if you keep doing that."

Eirik 's hands slide down your legs again, past the bottom of your skirt, and then run up again, this time dipping underneath your skirt so his hands maintain contact with your flesh as they run up and over your behind again, squeezing once more "Is that so... " he says

Kiare is wearing silk lace bikini panties under her dress and as your hands roam over her she blushes and shifts again. "Oh yeah.. we're going to have to go to my place."

Eirik chuckles a little "Silk ... " he murmurs "Very classy - just what I'd expect of a super-spy" with that he kisses you on the end of the nose and runs his hands back down to your legs, waiting for you to get up so that he can.

Kiare slips to the side so that she can pull on her boots.

Eirik reaches for his boots and puts them on as you pull yours on as well.

Kiare rises from the sand and dusts her backside off once her boots are on. Grinning at you she holds her hand out to you.

Taking your hand, Eirik rises and winks at you again "Lead on, fair maid" he says with a grin.

Kiare leads the way back through the city and into the bustling spaceport. Unlocking the ship the ramp lowers and she leads Eirik up the ramp before closing it and reengaging the lock.
